Default Scion tC Seatbelt question

I don't know the proper terminology. But when you start your car and don't put your seatbelt on....the car beeps for like 15-20 seconds.....Is there anyway to take that off or have the dealer remove it....it's really irritating having to hear that...especially days I am mad. I do mostly city driving (less than 20 mph) so i don't really wear a seatbelt but i hate to hear that beeping everytime i start the car.

1) you posted twice!
2) there is a write-up on this, use the search forum and look for "seat belt"
3) the dealer and most shops will aboslutely NOT remove this for liability issues
4) you shouldn't be driving when your that mad a beep annoys you
5) you should be wearing your seatbelt 100% of the time, even in "light traffic". You can be going 15mph, but the other car could be going 45mph.
This isn't to ____ you off, just that I had a friend who never wore seatbelts unless on the highway and....yea anyways.

please people! do a search before you ask your question. i mean, this has been answered like 30 times already:

Buzzer Reminder Cancel Mode Setting
1) Set the LCD on the combination meter to the ODO display.
2) Press and hold the TRIP meter reset **** for ten seconds or more within six seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON position. Fastening the driver’s seat belt while holding the **** cancels the buzzer reminder.
3) When this occurs, the LCD displays “b-OFF”. The buzzer reminder can be switched between ON and OFF each time the TRIP meter reset **** is pressed. The LCD displays “b-ON” or “b-OFF” according to the buzzer reminder ON/OFF status. The display changes to the ODO or TRIP meter” if the **** is not pressed for ten seconds.
4) Performing steps 1) and 2) again when the buzzer reminder is off exits cancel mode.
5) The cancel mode will also exit when the battery or combination meter connector is reconnected.

Well his other thread was kind of wrecked by everyone fighting over wearing seatbelts (which you should always do), but at the same time...

Mr Barraza seems to have difficulty using the search engine.

May want to check this out:
