Hey guys I searched before I asked but none seemed to be relevant to mine. My car just started screeching really badly today. I ws parked and moved up a couple of inches and it screeched really bad then it went silent then I moved a bit more forward and it screeched again. I didn't tap the brakes at all so I don't think that it would be the brakes. ANy ideas???

no This is something in the suspension area it might be the brakes come to think of though if it is screeching only on certain spots. but i thought the brakes are only supposed to screech when you step on the brake pedal.

 

is this in reverse or forward, i know since we (you) have 4 wheel disc breaks they do squeak/sqreech. mine do in reverse when i pull outta my garage.

 

if your pads are completely wore down they will stick to the rotors or something like that, it happened in my old car, got the pads replaced and shaved the rotors and it was fine

 

IT's only when I go forward. I backed up and no squeal! ! What does that mean??????????? But once again I must state that I don't even touch the brake pedal. It's only inching forward under its own power.

 

warped rotor? and this doesnt happen when your cars moving normal speeds?

 

It was fine all day when I drove. I got into my driveway. Turned it off, Ran inside, and came back out to move it into the garage and when I put it in first it moved 2 inches and I heard a god awful screech I kept on moving forward and it went away then three more inches forward I heard the screech again.

 

your transmission solenoid collided with the flux capacitor probably, which will result in supercharged detonation around the boost flux.

 

wrong! it results in a supercharge implosion around the boost flux

 

Guys your all wrong it's That I'm overboosting my imaginary turbo and all the crazy boost is blowing out my tires!!!!

maybe you just have a rock or some **** stuck inbetween your brake pad and rotor

 

This is what happens when people don't clean up after their dogs.

 

I'd bet it's a rock stuck between the brake sheild.
