this is kind of an off topic question but in need a good torque wrench, i just bought a rear sway yesterday and usually rely on my friend with his wrench but im looking to get one of my own would you guys recommend any certain brand

 

i got a husky and it works great there about 80 bucks. but id just go to home depot and look around

not a 100% sure if this has been answered yet but here goes...
I have a TRD CAI and wanna get a "sock" for it, just for extra peace of mind been raining here alot lately. anybody know were i can get one or if i need a certain size or anything about them really thanks.

 

I am hopefully getting some rims that have a hub bore of 74.1mm I believe. What kind of hub centric rings should I run? Can someone direct me to them?

are you talking about the ones that go over the filter? if so check online or o'reillys, autozone or advanced auto parts should have them or can order for you. last i checked they're like $20; not sure how well they work (debated since my intake is right at the opening of my bumper but didnt know if actually did any good)

 

Quick question... i just got a 2009 scion tc and i was driving it home and i noticed that at 40 mph the rear tires i believe make alot of noise. After i get above 45 or below 40 there silent. Anyone think they know what might be up ?

 

they might need remounted and balanced, or wore unevenly and might need a rotation

 

yea i went to phantasm in raleigh they ordered one for me. BUt got another question actually. I have a skunk2 exhaust but im pretty sure i had the catlatyst converter taken off when i got it put on. Im looking to get some headers/ s pipe soon would that eliminate my other catlatyst converter?

 

The header will eliminate the primary catalytic converter, the midpipe removes the secondary.

 

any way to not run a CEL if not its fine ill just get over it

yea ive heard about them, one of my friends mentioned saudering the CEL light off.

 

^lol, don't do that, seems the L-shaped anti-foulers work better than the DIY ones, they're pricey though.

 

i mean like 450 for weapon r headers i could spend a lil extra on an anti fouler. but im running a cel already either from my exhaust or intake im not sure which.

yea ive had it checked multiple times. its been the exaust 3 times and the intake the last time i had it checked. so ive just left it on scince then.

 

If you get a CEL with a catback exhaust your doing something wrong...

Also, any intake thats setup right shouldve give you one either.

Why dont you figure out whats wrong with your setup and fix it before you go throwing more things into the mix

 

ive taken it to 2 different mechanics and even got them reinstalled professionally. nobody can figure it out
