Small Questions Thread (Use this instead of creating new threads)
2. Headers just make the TC louder (maybe +2HP and lose some TQ). They aren't worth getting in my opinion unless u enjoy the 4-banger Honda fart sound and attention of cops. ;)
Hi guys,
i have 2 questions for my 07 tc
1 i changed to unknown yr tc oem rims, metal vavle stem, tire presure sensor light is on, i tried to clear it , but doesnt work
2 there is a small light in the space below the deck and in front of shifter, is that light supposed to be on all the time? can you turn it on and off?
thanks in advance

1) Did you follow the method outlined in your owner's manual? Did you move the TPMS sensors to the new wheels after you bought them? If the wheels are from an 05-06, they do not have them which is why your car is showing a warning light.
2) The light goes on and off with your headlights.

The TPMS sensors will need to be programmed to the ECU. The dealer will charge for breaking down the tire to get the serial off each sensor, and for programming. Until you get that done the ECU won't get a pressure reading and able to clear the light.
thanks a lot for the input.
if the TPMS is on, does the ecu do anything funny to the engine and tranns?
can i remove the sensors and put regular vavle stems to avoid having the TPSM light ? i guess no .
do you guys know why the light did come on for a month after i put the rims on?
thanks

The TPMS will not harm anything mechanically on your car.
You just wont know if you have a flat tire, unless you feel like like everyone did before all this useless technology.
Ive had my light on on my Z for 8 months now, i just deal with it.
Putting reg. valve stems in place of sensors will cause the light to stay on.
The light came on a little after because its not always connected.
The sensors send a signal to the comp every so often to see what the tire pressure is, i believe its somewhere around 30 mins, but it may vary from car to car. A month does seem longer than it should be though.

thats cool, im not familiar with newer cars.
the info about the sensors send signal every 30 mins dont make any scense to me at all, if you have a flat right after the signal is sent, by the time sensor light comes onthe rim would be destroyed
They will also shut off for certain amount of miles also. I think 500 miles could be wrong: could be lesser than that.
Once passed that mileage point- it comes on again. I spent two whole summers without TPMS sensors; then when I moved into my old apartment. I had the stockies with sensors sitting in my kitchen next to the garage wall. The signal was still going to the system even if they weren't on the car and the warning light never came on unless that mileage mark it while on long road trip.

Any fitment issues if I were to install a K&N Filter on a TRD intake? I purchased a used TRD intake for $100 but the filter cone has several holes in it.

ok so im planning on a suspension upgrade soon to include trd lowering springs, dc sports strut bar, and trd rear sway bar from what i understand there are 2 settings on the sway bar one for race and one for street. i want the car to stick in the corners without too much oversteer, my idea is for it to be responsive but not "loose." Any ideas on what setting i should put the sway bar at? i have asked this question before but didnt get any answers that helped...
QUESTION:: My dome light is stuck "on". When on the "door" setting, it won't turn off. there is no door registered open in anyway because the door light on the dash isn't on and I can lock and unlock the car with the remote. Has anyone ever had this happen? I don't know if it will make a difference or not but I have been running L.E.D.s in the dome lights for a couple of years.
I thought I would start here before just making a new thread and yes, I have done searches. I haven't found anything even remotely close yet.
Thank you !

It stays on in both positions. It WILL turn off when I switch it to "off".
And both the rear dome light and the front middle one are acting like this. I don't know if they started this last night or this morning. I drove home last night in the dark with no problems. I got some stuff out of the trunk and went back in the house and then locked the car from in the house. I went out this morning and got in and when i shut the door and started the car, they never turned off. I dont know if they stayed on all night or just started messing up this morning

Just want to see what you guys think about this manifold. Its ebay but it looks pretty good.

just my opinion but i would stay away from anything engine wise on ebay unless its something that is legit namebrand. read about too many people taking chances and messing up their engine
Well I dont think a manifold would mess up a engine do you? I mean its only a peace of metal holding the turbo. Maybe the manifold could crack because of the heat and weight of the turbo but i dont think it would mess anything up. If you think about it a manifold is pretty simple.
