When i went to the scion dealer to test drive the tC i drove my modified jeep cherokee on 33's and all the salesman were gawking at it asking me all kinds of questions, they were hoping i was gonna trade it in, hell no i said. I would never trade that thing in, way too much fun in the dirt.

roomate goes to test drive the new calibur, his gf tells him he cant take his car bc she doesnt want him spontaneously trading it in, so we take mine. I park off the side, I didn't want them to think I'd trade my baby in for one of .... those ....
Very cool salesman, younger guy. roomie has an xA, they're talking about it, he brings up my car, salesman talks his trash. He's a Chrystler/Dodge salesman, what can you expect. We all laughed, had a good time.
Roomie hops in a Magnum Hemi, says "Hey, his car is over here, I'll show you". So we pull around, guy's like "Oh.. OH ... that's what you got, wow that's clean.." so on so forth. He asked how much it was, when I told him 17k, he kinda stopped talking about the HEMI, stopped explaining the caliburs stupid pulley tranny. He wanted to know about Scion.

Went to Honduh dealer yesterday to pick up my S2K antenna and there were no guests parked in the guests parking lot. There were about 5 dealer vultures smoking and joking outside the front door. I fly into the lot pretty fast with tires sqwealing, get out of my tC and see their faces light up. They uncross their arms as they're deciding who gets to try and make the sale. I slam my door shut and start walking away from them to the parts department. I shoulda turned around to see the look of disappointment on their faces. On my way out, I demonstrate the superior torque of the tC by chirping my tires. Good times. I love my tC!

Man, I can't remember what kind of dealership it was, but all I was doing was making a U-turn and using their entrance to do it...but in those 30 seconds, all them dudes were just looking.

This reminds me of another story, but I'm gonna start a new thread for that because it has nothing to do with Honda.

Yo....we need to stop the hate on hondas ....we all have had one at one point
For real? Which one did I have? cause I don't ever remember owning a Honda.

well i work at a large ford dealership here in oregon. and everytime i park my tC i deliberatly park RIGHT in front of the show room. I look out the window and people who are comming into the show room stop to look at my car before they even set foot in the dealership. It is rather amusing seeing someone start to come in...stop...look at my car...and walk away

my boss doesnt like it, but it just makes my day that much better....

Dude, you got those Konigs? I always wondered what they'd look like on a tC. NICE!!!

Oh, and your boss shouldn't be such a retard to let the employees park out front. lol.

You guys are still getting these looks and questions? People here in San Jose, CA stopped looking at my car since Oct'04. I see three tC's a day now.

Did you mean to say "race?" If so, I'll admit I am a little heavy on the gas pedal. It's hard not to be in this car because it's so fun. It's a wonderful thing. But I don't see how it reflects on anyone else. So don't project your insecurity on "us others."

Actually what you did fits right in with "rice".

Coming into a dealership where cars could be coming out of nowhere fast enough to make your tires squeal, then rip ___ coming out.

That's just not smart. But hey, they probably laughed at you anyways.

LOL. I love how you assume I was doing 75MPH in a parking lot. You act like you know what the layout of the dealer was. Were you there? It was a HUGE driveway with a HUGE (and empty) guest parking lot. And the only reason the tires squealed (barely) was because I was making a U into a parking spot close to driveway enterance. I would estimate I was going about 20MPH at the time of the squeal (during the u-turn) Turn the wheel far enough, and it's no hard task to make some noise. I bet even your box can do it! And as for the "rip butt" on my way out, I said I chirped. Anyone with a 5-speed tC will tell you that if you so much as sneeze too hard, you'll chirp the tires in 1st or 2nd; especially with the potenzas. It wasn't reckless. And I've yet to hear how the word "rice" applies to the situation. Definition seems off.

Sheez! Share story relevant to the thread and losers wanna assume $hit and jump down your throat. Why not just keep it to yourself? Or better yet, tell us about YOUR experience at the Honda dealership?

what you did is not really any different from the guy in the 1st gen automatic neon with a primered body kit and ricediculous taillights flying by you on some city street while blasting nickelback on his ilo brand wal*mart deck. it just causes people to laugh at you because you think you are SOO COOOOL. and the way it reflects on "us others" is the fact that we drive tCs too.

oh, and as for my experience at the honda dealer, well the last time i was there was when i was looking to trade in my 04 civic for the civic Si i had just test driven, but i didn't because they wanted $24522 for a non-nav Si. msrp 20110 btw.
