Yall shoulda seen the Toyota dealership when I pulled into their lot with my 2005 F250 Diesel (big lift and tires). They were all over it and funny thing is people that were looking at Tundras got side tracked...lol. This was the day I ordered my 2006 Scion TC.

I recently too went to the local honda dealer to buy a s2k antenna. I used to take my civic (previous car) in there all the time for service and parts, so all the guys know me. This was the first time they had seen my new ride...they were all going nuts about the car. They kept going on and on about my interior (custom red/black two-tone) and that it came with a 2.4L. I love the look on poor honda owners faces when I wax their ___ in a car with a stock engine...especially the ones that have 5 or 6 grand in an engine swap! Sorry kid.

This thread is about what hapened when you go to a Honda (or other) dealership in your tC and what the experience was like. It would have been boring if I would have just wrote "I went to pick up my S2K antenna...there were dealers there." My original post had some "dramatic flair" which obviously wasn't appreciated as some people have no sense of humor.

As far as "us others" are conserned. Don't worry! Your reputation as a tC driver is still intact. The only reason those dealer vultures paid any attention that it was a tC was probably to size up a trade-in value.

And besides: the point wasn't that I was "SOO COOOOL," ('cause I don't need other things - especially a car - to feel better about myself), the point was that I got 5 dealer guys all excited because they thought they were gonna be able to get a good sale, and I walked in the OTHER direction. I just thought it was amusing to disappoint them (I hate car salesmen).

It's funny how things can get blown out of proportion quickly isn't it?

Not dealer related but adds up to the attention getter comments

im driving from Arizona to San Diego (8 FWY) and theres a Border Patrol checkpoint, all the cars have to slow down and drive like 5 mph or less, and so im about to pass and the officer goes like STOP! pull over to the right! I pulled over and he starts letting everyone else pass, so him and a couple of others go like could you get out and open your trunk! (ready to check the car i said to myself) to my surprise he starts asking how much i paid? how do i like it? does it has good mpg? and so on, i was like dude WTF! they didnt even check it and let me go...

I remember when I went to the Honda dealer to get the tC's plates they sales people were lookin at me and my stepdad funny. I was laughin so much. I know this is thread jacking but its related to Honda so. The other day while it was raining we were in the tC and a Red 06 Civic EX Coupe with a fart can exhaust pulled up next to us at the light and started revvin his engine and honkin his crappy horn. I was like retard who would race in the rain?? Rain and the streets in CA don't mix. Well anyway, when the light turned green and he went for it. I was like watch him get in a accident. Then I continued on my way home and then bam there's the Civic not too far from my house.
