You want to get rid of an`08 tC for a Dodge Caliber (Neon)? Even in SRT-4 skin, it is simply a much faster turd, IMO. If you look at the overall past reliability of Dodge vehicles, it pretty much blows (take a look at Consumer Reports). Add to that higher insurance rates, premium gas, and more fuel usage because you certainly won't be driving like an elderly person. Bad choice, IMO, but it's your money (or your payments). Who cares what anonymous strangers on a Scion forum think anyway?

Who am I to judge, though? After I read the blurb in Motor Trend about the `08 Suzuki SX4 sedan, I can't stop looking at it. I even had the idea that it could serve as a possible 4-door replacement fot my tC in a few years.

Totally necessary.

If you stay out of boost, depending on the engine size, you should actually get better gas mileage. My tC averaged 21, a high of 24 and a low of 18. My new car is a 2 liter turbo, and I now get 26 to 30 mpg with AWD, and a whole lot more oomph when I step on it! It pays off the price difference of using 92 octane in a few gallons, and definitely justifies its use.

It's a Dodge yes, but I would still get a turbo car. I loooove it! If the Mustang came with a locker I would say go with that, but it doesn't. Fail.

ok ok, i dont buy that the calibers insurance is cheapers than the tc but ok, if you say so, its just really hard to believe.

yes, the new srt4, its cheaper to make it faster, but it wont last you long, it will break believe me, a friend of mine who had a tc, traded it in for an srt4, and guess what, he has another tc now.... yes, he blew it, i know, stupid, if you do it right you wouldn't blow it, BUT, the fact is that it is not the first one and it will not be the last (it was the neon, but in the end the engine is the same).

Also, yes, it looks "kinda" cool with the 19" rims and all that, looks "faster", but, in the end its still a caliber... so me not like.

Soooo,

Pros: Higher priced car which is cheaper to make it really fast.
Cons: Not going to last you as long as a tc because it's still an american car.

From there, decide.
