yeahhh man 13.8% but you know what , no one can tell me "Your Daddy Bought you that car" Its all on me and got my own isurance so you know what for a 20 year old doin it all on my own im proud to have my own car it makes me feel good, yes i know sucky interest rate but im lucky im not payin 20% Etc so im doin allright and plus no one could co-sign for me i was blessed to have a family with ____ty Credit
but you know what family comes first and then juggle the bills so i know why the credit is bad , so for me it was a piece of ____ car or and brand new car off the lot and it makes me feel even more better when my ___ whole cussins are saying "you aint neva gonna buy a new car Bla Bla BLa" and look now , thier mouth is shut, and next year or what not im going to refinance with my bank (Wachovia) i mite wait also alittle to build alittle more credit as i pay for my car so they see alittle more history ,yeah im happy tho..
it's like someone mentioned before. The car looks great on paper. Once you actually sit behind the wheel you start noticing the 'cheapness' that i see in a lot of dodge vehicles today.
Another question you have to ask yourself is how long do you want this car to last you for. Being a former dodge neon owner, i can tell you without a doubt that the thing had more problems than i could fix in a lifetime.

It's actually quite embarassing for a tC to get smoked by a turbo Neon in reverse.
ha its a decent car
my first car was a plymouth neon hand-me-down
no power steering
horrible alignment
broken and ghetto fixed spoiler
stolen antenna so i had a random wire held down with a wing nut

1. It is still a dodge, yes it is faster, but also more expensive and you can make the tC just as fast, if not faster for about the same amount of money
2. Has anyone been to japan and has seen tC's on loading docks?? Just a quick bit of info, toyota makes (or assembles, your choice of words) more vehicles in the US than GM... so why isn't it possible for the tC to be assembled here
3. And lastly, 13.8 holy ****... I was able to get 4.98 when I purchased mine with not credit, just a co-signer with really good credit...

For example the new Toyota tundra is made in japan, meaning that the parts are made there, shipped to the US, and assembled in the assembly plant in San Antonio.
This is not the case for the TC, which is assembled in the Tsutsumi assembly plant near Toyota City, japan. The already assembled cars are then shipped for strictly the US market, hence no JDM.

The bottom line: a tC is 100% Japanese. NO, NOT JDM. It is not made here. It is not assembled here. If you went to the port at Japan, you would see tCs being loaded into freight carriers, not parts of tCs. If you still have your sticker, which all owners should, go look at it. 100% not made in USA. End of story.

don't think i was trying to clown your car, I'm just saying 9k in 4 months is a lot. and as a buyer i'd be looking at that "like dang where was he/she going and doing while going there?" that's not to say that you don't take care of your car, b/c i'm sure you do as you "sound" but as a smart consumer there's no way i give up that dough for a car that's not even six months old.

ALL Scions are built in Japan. The tC comes into Portland where the radios are installed. Once it hits dealer lots, the side mirrors are installed. If a customer wants ANY TRD accessories the dealer installs them before delivery. If a car's VIN begins in "J" it is built in Japan. "1" or "5" = USA, "2" = Canada, "3" = Mexico.
Now back on topic, knowing Dodge's reputation and having a friend who has an 07 Dodge Magnum that needs a new transmission after 10,000 miles....I honestly say stick with the tC or go after a different import. (*Gasp* I'd even recommend Ford's newer models)
Think of it this way, unless you change jobs or move, you will have 10,000 miles on your Caliber in four months too. I guarantee you that the resale value of the car will be crap because of the high mileage and nature of the people who drive them (i.e. beaitng them...not saying you would/will beat the car up but people have that perception).
