so yeah
i say stick with the tC
yeah but the tC is made in america....
but parts are jdm
just assembled in america
dude, youre really digging yourself into a large hole! The parts are NOT JDM, the car is NOT for the JDM, it's a Japanese car, built in Japan, for USA ONLY! From what I know, the only things they assemble at the port are the side curtain airbags, the head unit, subwoofer, and some other stuff.......
okay dude..think of it in a smart business mind way
for scion to build a car in japan and send them here would be hard
the space a fully built scion takes up would be enough for like who knows how many fenders and other parts and what not.
just think about it..i haven't done that much research but there are facilities in America and Canada that actually assemble the scions. its a japanese car but just think about it in a SMART way

Savings in monthly payment NOW = Loss in resale value LATER.

The little money you save per month is probably what's making you think real hard about getting another car.

I'd stick with the tC.

He's not taking up for your arguement, he's pointing out Yanki01's poor choice of words.

The bottom line: a tC is 100% Japanese. NO, NOT JDM. It is not made here. It is not assembled here. If you went to the port at Japan, you would see tCs being loaded into freight carriers, not parts of tCs. If you still have your sticker, which all owners should, go look at it. 100% not made in USA. End of story.

to clear it up, i think the acessories from Scion that you buy are installed at different plants here in the US. tC comes stock from Japan, other parts (i.e.- OEM lip kit or other overpriced TRD parts) are installed here. Also there a no JDM parts for the tC. We dont drive a Honda.

srt4 > tC

I would've bought that car, unfortunately, it was no longer available when I bought my tC.

There were a few used ones on dealer lots but they wanted too much for it.

when you look at it for a brand new car, cheaper on insurance, and the same money for payments its good.

but if you look at it as givin up your tc for a unreliable american car which will probably have half the lifespan of your TC, youre really not winning. the tc will last you a loooot longer and it will hold its resale better than the dodge
