Default Sub and HID problem

So i have 6k HIDs on my head lights and fogs and also have a 10" mtx sub with a mtx amp. When i first installed it there was an LED on top of the amp that worked every time the amp was on but a month later it went out and stop working so i guessed it was just a bad LED. Then my left head light wouldn't turn on but both fogs worked fine. Then one day both head lights started working and everything was fine for about 5 months. Now, just the other day, the left head light dosent turn on again and the LED on the amp started working again. Does anyone have ANY idea what the hell it could be? Any help would be great

the HIDs i wired myself which was pretty much plug and play and they always worked before i put in the sub. The amp and sub was a friend of mine who did the install and he wired a direct line to the batter and grounded another. So i dont see what the problem is. The sub works fine. I usually have the base turned down so its not pulling to much power

Maybe your amp is faulty and its pulling to much power and the alternator cant handle powering everything.

^ yea, i think that might be it because i have had alot of problems with this amp. I have had to exchange it twice when i bought it and the active cooling fan is the loudest thing when i turn my car on. Sounds like a hive of bees in the back

are you running your HIDs through a relay? is your ground on your amp properly grounded (sanded to bare metal)?

^ yes, i am running it through a relay and yes it was sanded down to bare metal. I actually just went to my car and switched the ignitors, at least that's what i think its called, from one side to the other and now the other head light works but the other dosent. So im guessing i need to buy a new ignitor.

Get a capacitor (1 farad per 500w of power) and maybe get a smaller fuse for the power wire to the amp. Also check to make sure that your hid connections are good. Try swapping bulbs and hardware to see if you can narrow down the problem. HID's do go out. If you got a cheap set they might have died.
