ok so i bought my tc going about 3-4 months ago when i first bought it the sunroof worked and would open up fine and close fine no issues once you got the switch to work. but you had to mess with the switch a little to make it work right. well about a few weeks ago it decided to not work at all i know the sun roof works but it wont open at all and i mess with the switch quite a bit.

so my question is is it the switch that is bad? or could it be something else? only thing i need to fix with this car has been bothering me lol

 

Pull the switch out of the ceiling it's relatively easy with a screw driver make sure the connector is secure to it and that the wires not all mangled or something

 

^^ good point will do that. and the whole piece just pulls out?

 

I had that problem with mine, where it wouldn't close unless I jabbed at it over and over. Test yours with a multi-meter to see it if has a good a connection. It is $75 for a new unit from TRDSPARKS.com

 

thanks man yea if i hit really really hard it seems to work every now and then but as of couple weeks ago it officially stopped worked. so i will def test it out and check everything. if not i will just buy a new unit in a month or so when tax time is around lol.

 

Sure does with a flat head screw driver it pops out real easy and you can check it
