Default tC A/C noise problem

Recently, when cranking up my A/C I get this noise coming out of the vents like something's stuck inside. I notice less air coming out too. I found out there was all this junk (inside?) underneath where the in-cabin air filter goes, behind the glove compartment- like a squirrel was building a nest inside or something. I was able to get some out by hand, but since it's kinda hard to get into such a small space, I was wondering if there was another easier way of getting all that crap out? Anyone else come across this issue? Thanks in advance.

Funny... Because mine just started doing this TODAY. I thought it sounded less like a squirrel and more like a mouse... But I haven't had a chance to pop it open. IMO, the chirping noises combined with the weird whir/groaning sound makes me think that something needs to be oiled.

I get the same humm, mind you at 60k mi, maybe a sign of age, the A/C hasn't gone out yet, but without knowing the deadset cause, I'm letting it slide.
