Default tC Wiper Position?

I read someone said that there are 2 position for the wiper blades to sit.

So mine is sitting higher than normal... do I hold it at the wiper base and push it down to get it lowered a notch?

I just realized this the other day... after I washed my car. I opened my hood and forgot to put the wipers down. So the hood bumped into the wiper arm... might of pushed it up.

That's just my theory... but unless I know I don't want to break anything.

I'll have more headache if I bust that thing *lol* So let me know.

I don't know the exact details but the upper position is to prevent snow/ice block in... the exact procedure is in the manual

I know that the upper position is for ice or snow... but my glass is clean... no ice or snow in the way.

I've tried turning the wiper on and off but it still rest high. So.. I'll look into the manual tonight.

In my g/f's tC, it automatically went up when it was snowing and one day we just noticed it was down (during the spring). Unless someone was nice enough to do it for us? lol

I did the same exact thing you did. Just push them down with a bit of force until they're below the windsheild line...

to fix it all you have to do is push down on the ARM of the wiper. Doesn't matter which one because they both go down no matter which one you push. Just use a little bit of force and it should go back down into place. I did this when it was raining really hard, thinking that maybe my wipers would go a little faster if they didn't have to go all the way back down lol! it kinda worked

Its common in most toyota vehicles to prevent the wipers from being damaged in snowy climates . I was always having to reset them at my previous job .

I have noticed on my tC that the passanger side wiper is higher than the other one. They are both in the "down" position. I have to push it down all the way for the rubber blade to keep it down all the way out of view. Has anyone experienced this also?

Do you have a picture?

If you read my post above, mines was at the higher resting position cause I think I bumped it while washing my car.

I held it at the arm (the stiff metal part) not the blade part and pulled it down with a little force.

No pics. I know for sure that I snapped them both down. But I think it may rest higher on the end because of the angle of the blade. I dont know maybe im just too picky
