After getting mine, my total came to $21,585. I didn't get anything added to it except the floor mats.

I thought I saw somewhere that the side air bags that come with the RS2.0 and the auto dimming mirror aren't compatible with each other or am I totally wrong?
No, you can not combine auto dimming mirror with side air bags, they work off the same space that the air bags go.

Or to put it another way, if a dealership offers etch, you know for a fact that they are slimeballs. Go somewhere else.
Thats a completely false and innacurate statement. I have had customers request VIN etch because they felt safer with it and they have had it on previous cars. I know theres some dealerships that pretty much put it on every car cause we get swaps that already have etch on them, but we only do an etch upon customers request for it.
I think io333 sort of under-stated what they really meant.

In other words, if a dealer tells you that you HAVE to have etching... if they try to tell you that all cars have it and you have to pay for it, then you know they are scumbags.

Also check the invoice and see if it's going to be charged to you. Even if you don't mind, ask them about it (because I wouldn't surprised if some places slip it into the cost without actually having it done). [/quote]

how come scion only offers the lowest apr of %7.05? I still think that's fairly high. My credit score is really good and I thought i can get a car with less than %5. ???

I hate to disagree with you...but, my wife just purchased an RS2.0 and she had the Auto Dimming Mirror added to the car...It works great!

From what the dealership told us they changed the way they installed the mirror. The mirror pulls power from the Sunroof/domelight area instead of having to be run down the A-pillar.

Good to know, thanks. I'll have to check with my service dept about that.
