I've been driving manual trans cars for 40 years (yes, I know I'm old), but I can't shift my tC without the revs hanging up between gears. Somewhere I heard that the dealer can do a re-flash to remedy this situation. Two dealers I've contacted don't know anything about this.....can someone supply me with info/link/TSB that I can give to a dealer to help me out?

there is nothing you can do about it really aside maybe from crank pulley and light weight flywheel, but even then, it's not going to be like a Honda or any cable throttle car from the past. A heavy flywheel combined w/ a lazy drive-by-wire system (typical 21st century Toyota), and you have a car that doesnt like to be shifted fast. As far as I know, there is no reflash.

Gotta confirm what Curious said, you will have to learn to live with it. The drive-by-wire will always delay the same amount, though your engine will run up faster with a different set of pulleys.

You'll get used to it eventually

Oh, and there are about 30,000 threads on here about that. The search button does wonders :p
