i think the deciding factor on why people want the SC is that it will be covered under warranty. as for taking in your car to the place that installed your turbo they will look at you and point and laugh. shops are not going to give you any kind of warranty on turbo's or any aftermarket mods you take to them. their job is just to install it for you and that's it. so if your engine goes boom, you are stuck w/ the bill not them.

i agree. i think that the only reason why people will by the trd sc over any aftermarket turbo or another sc is that it is warranty covered and there is no fear of something going wrong and them being stuck with an expensive repair at their own cost. there's probably a few people who just want it because it is their choice, but i think the majority who want it want it for the warranty protection.

you guys also have to keep in mind that if they see that you guys abused the sc by racing or over revving that it will NOT be covered under warranty. i have a friend who works at a mitsubishi dealer and he says customers are always bringing in their evo's saying that their engine is messed up and they don't know what happened. they know when the engine has been abused and will not cover it. so just be carefull and don't go out there thinking that it's ok to just race everything in site.

I heard that mitsubishi guys actually go to auto X races, and look for evo's. Then they write down their plate #'s so that if they come in for any work to be done under warrenty they can deny them because they were racing. They have like a blacklist or something.

I never understood why people diss Hondas. Is there something bad about building efficient, reliable, quality cars? I know some people have ruined the reputation of the company a little bit (rice & Civics) but the cars are great.

Take the RSX Type S for example. 210hp from a NA 2.0L I4 engine matched to one of the most smooth/precise shifting 6-speeds, and getting the MPG of an economy. Show me one other NA 4-banger with this much power and reliability. Lame Honda!

I could at least see this type of crap coming from people with muscle cars who think there is no replacement for displacement, but from Toyota owners? Oh yeah because a 2.4L is so much manlier than a 2.0L?

i just think honda cars period are just boring imean their really conservative looking but reliable but i think they are seeing that themselves and that why they are changing that image with the new civic. i owned a 99tl so reliablity was a real issue with that car but that a different subject.

the supercharger by the way was confirmed by my dealership for september release with a bump around 200hp not at the wheels though.

You can't say boring and not mention Toyota though. Why do you think we are not driving Toyota tCs?

Exactly. The S2000 engine is not much more efficient than the Type S engine though, hp/liter-wise.

there nothing wrong with honda but

when i say boring im mean the overall design. i owned a couple of hondas and an an 99 acura tl to boot so there no freakin way im bias at all. i just think honda should stop going the same old route when designing cars. obviously the tc caught my eye just for that reason design!!!!i mean what hasnt been done to honda already!!! i mean the euro lights and amongst other things were pretty much started by the honda/tunerz scene out there. i mean it got boring seeing everyone doing the same exact thing to there car then it spread to the suvees putting those freakin euro lights on. if you dont believe me just loo0k at the crx civic its got to be one the ugliest cars out there. the car just sreams river rice.. no offense but toyota didnt start the rice scene honda did.

http://cars.ign.com/articles/620/620651p3.html

lets all face it honda isnt quite a realiable car any more . quite as its kept honda has whats called a silent recall on honda accords, acura tl & cl for transmissions failures which is why i got rid of my tl. every 10,000 miles i was changing transmission and i got tired of it so i sold it after the last fix..i changed trannys at least 4 times and the service knew me on a first name bases

i do respect rsx onerz out there because i think its amazing that they can pump out 210 horses n.a but i not sure if thats at the wheels though....if it is at the wheels than thats amazing.the engine tech in hondas are amazing also hp per liter.

tc ownerz are ready to make a splash and pretty much forgot their manners.all i know is i hate it when im at a light and some honda/ricer wants to race. i just want to say to all KEEP IT ON THE TRACK OKAY!!!!

the new Si hatch I had 2 years ago was insane.. insane quality of the interior, Recaro seats and MOMO steering wheel stock, awesome paint job (black with blue metallic flake in it), great ride, and overall wonderful quality. I actually just despised driving around in a car that got "RICE" screamed at me out the window a couple times a week.. it's a shame people have to be so bias against some cars, but, eh, I guess that's the way the world works. Oh yea and in the 1.5 years I had the car I never had to have it in once for any work other than routine maintenance. It was a bit on the sluggish side but it whipped up on a lot of cars once I got the DC header, Hondata reflash and K&N intake.. I was actually about ready to opt for the Greddy turbo but the instant I found out about the tC (several months before the car was sold) I planned on buying one.

Both cars have been great, and Honda in general does deserve a bit more credit, but I think why people really give Honda a lot of crap is because they're designed to be economy cars, not street racers. However, you can say the exact same thing of Toyota. So jesus everyone, all our cars are coming out of the same country here, so let's just be friends
