I was wondering if anyone has had experience with people vandalizing their car because it is an import. I'm getting a tc in the next couple of weeks, and i'm a little concerned cause I live in the Detroit area. Just curious.

 

Anything can happen anywhere. There's nothing you can do unless you have a garage.

 

it's true...try not to draw attention to your car with side graphics and showoff kinda stuff...but thats about all you can do. i spoke to a police officer friend of mine when my old car got vandalized...he said, honestly, there is truley nothing you can do at all, unless you keep the car at home with a cover on it....it happens

 

No no no cover... a cover can draw even more attention. Any time I see a cover I naturally think... "what's under that thing" and "why do they care so much as to put a cover on it?" The best way is to put it in the garage. If you can't do that, then yeah, don't do a lot of flashy exterior mods.

 

Someone keyed my tC at my complex. Not sure why but they did.

I have a garage and I'll keep it in there all the time. It's not my house I'm worried about. It's more parking garages, parking lots, etc.

So far, only thing has been someone spitting a loogie on my rear hatch, still ____ed me off that I had to clean that up...looked like tobacco mixed in...

I garage mine at night, and she sits near my watchful eye whilst I'm at work.
