Default Wait time for tC in NJ if flexible about spec?

Ok, I'm seriously considering getting a tC for my wife. We've just moved to Essex County, NJ, and need to get a second car.

If we're pretty flexible on colors, and are looking for an automatic. I'm guessing that the odds of driving one off the lot are not high, but realistically how long could I expect to wait for delivery?

Thanks,

J.

Actually automatics are about 75% of total produced quantity of tCs, and with certain color flexibility you have a very good chance to drive off the lot right away. Worst case you'll have to call 2-3 dealers.

i live in NJ, i go to skool and work in essex county but live in hudson county (right next door). my advice for you is this:

i am assuming u've read the specs and have test driven it to make sure you def. want one because the wait cud be long or short depending on where you go.

best suggestion is going to various dealers, i know a couple in the area, i sugggest East Coast Toyota on Route 17 South near the meadowlands, theres another toyota dealership on 440, if u want u can go where i got my tC at Hudson Toyota (be warned about that place though).

here's a brief description of how i got my tC, july 2 i went in n test drove n put a deposit for a auto flint mica, a week passes and nothing. i got an email from east coast toyota and they have tC's, so after work i went in n hold n behold they have a flint mica auto in transit and it arrived there the next day. however i put my $1000 deposit at hudson toyota n theyt cashed it ! i recommend east coast cuz they do not deposit holds. i cudve gotten my flint mica after only 1 1/2 weeks but my other dealer had me locked in n they claimed to try to swap but that never happened. so im waiting into my 2nd week, very anxious cuz i need a car already and i even lowered my preference to either a flint, black, or dark blue tC n in the 3rd week i get a call that someone backed out of a silver tC n they called me to see if i wantede it cuz they knew i needed a car to drive already .. so i took it n on aug 2 i finally drove off in my silver tC.. silver wudve been my 4th choice but since i am going out of the country for two weeks i needed to have my car already cuz once vacation was over i wud def. need my car n wud have no time with skool n work.

You want an automatic in any color??? That's going to be really easy to find.

Now if you want a 5spd Flint Mica with Side Air Bags like me... then be prepared for a long wait.

3 weeks and counting... :?

Got mine in Bergen County, since I was flexible with the color and not to have a side airbag, I was able to take a car that they were allocated. Drove it off the lot on the next business day.

Got my second preference in color and transmission choice though.
