Weird Noise, sounded like I was scraping?
Alright so today I was driving with some friends. I made a slightly sharp turn into a drive way and I thought I scraped. I got out and checked, Then I got in, and started driving, and turned down a street and it was the car that was making some weird noise. It sounds like a mixture of scraping and when you ABS kicks in.
One of my friends I was with said his tcs in the shop for the same problem and he said it was the... Power Steering belt? I'm not sure if he's right or not but he said his was doing the same thing.
It happened for a minute or so, then stopped and has been fine ever since (i've driven another.. 50 miles since then?)
Any ideas on what it might be? Or if you think it's fine now?
thanks.

Hmm I have had this same noise. Almost sounds like the cover guards are hitting the ground/tires...but they aren't...
parking lots with a bumpy/uneven surface usually gives off the sound... not sure if this is waht you were talking about.....hopefully you get it fixed though!

Yeah It happened on an extremely smooth driveway too, we were checking.
I'm getting my windshield repaired in 2 weeks, ill have them check it out then if it happens again. God, feels like my car is falling apart lol.

drivebelt could cause that, if it's about to jump off the pulleys because the belt tensioner isn't keeping tension on the belt. There have been others that have had the belt tensioner go bad. But maybe you just got a bad belt? get the belt checked, without it, you won't have the alternator = no electrical system.
