Would you buy a demo car?
When I got my car it says 1 mile and I even sign a paper stating it was 1 mile only at the time of purchase.
NO, don't ever buy a rental car as in never. Who knows how it was driven by the
renters. When I rent a car, I always beat the hell out of it.

The only reason why they won't give a discount on the demo cars are because the tC is selling like hotcakes now. I wonder if they'll make exceptions in the future or it'll forever be pure pricing even if the demo has like 1,000 miles on it.
I'd be very wary of demo cars. You don't know who's driven it, how they drove it, or anything else they've done to it. My dealer supposedly says that my tC will have about 10 miles when it gets there. I figure anything under 50 miles should at least be ok to buy a demo car. But just ordering it brand new gives you peace of mind. But I totally wouldn't buy it if the dealer tacked on all these options that I didn't want in the first place. Just order the tC if it's not flint mica. It's only 1-2 week wait. In the case of a Flint Mica, you'd have to be prepared to wait a while... I'm still waiting. :?

The Scion tC, I defintely would not buy as a demo based on the demographic group that usually will test drive/buy this car. Don't think you'll get many elderly 50+ year olds gingerly test driving this car, they end up test driving Avalons or Acura RLs.
Think the age group on this car is much, much younger. The picture that comes to my mind is a 20-25 year old trying to chirp the front tires out of every gear and trying to tear the rear end loose on every turn.
As some one else put it before . . . not worth the risk as the first few hundred miles are the most important.

no, I would not. I wouldn't get a program car either. I've test droven cars and I've rented cars.. it's nice cause you don't have to worry about anything, gas is ON or OFF, just like the brakes, what's that smell? "I dunno, I think it needs more salt in the gas tank"
whenever a car ship to dealer, the dealer tech will do somthing on the car, one of those thing may be to clear the meter so the shipping(drive off boat, drive on the truck/train) mileage does not count. i am only guessing, since i see plenty of car in dealer's lot have 0 mile on it. my only explaination for it is the meter was clear off before put on the lot.
All milage counts from the time it comes off the line .
