Sorry as of right now, the forums is taking off big time so there is no point ot change things.

With about 100 new members joining in each week i would say we are doing the right thing. Its not that difficult guys, it takes less then 2 minutes to sign up.

For right now the site will stay that way but maybe in the future we will make it so people wont have to sign up to view it but so far its working for us.

Thanx

You'll notice something as a result of this. You'll get sign ups, because people want to see whats there, but you won't get participation from many of those because they simply signed up to see whats there. (This is a swanky marketing gimmick that many don't appreciate. - "give me 5 dollars so I can show you the thing I want to sell you.").

Any smart business person would jump at the chance of doing more business if given the opportunity. People are telling you they're staying away as a result of your rule. If removing that rule doesn't hurt your current participants AND gets you more participating users, its a win-win. I don't understand your logic. Nor would any savvy business person.

I, personally, have never signed up for message boards that require you to be a user just to browse the boards. And I never will.

Thats my feedback. Take it or leave it.
