alignment problem
my girlfriend has a tc with trd lowering springs installed by dealer. the dealer never did an alignment so i cought them on that and they finally did one. the rear has negative camber and they say they cant do anything about it. anyone have these problems with lowering springs
Well an alignment doesn't come with spring installs... so you'd have to ask them to do it in the first place. Last I checked, no place does them for free - no matter what they're installing.
As for the neg camber... as long as they tried to get it within spec you should be fine. A little neg camber never hurt anyone - no matter how many people tell you it'll shred tires. That's crap. Your tires will be shredded if you have too much + Toe... and when that is combined with neg camber it is even worse.
Do you know how close to spec they are?

On an alignment your angles are very rarely going to be zeroed out..this is because when someone gets in the car or when someone puts something in the car the added weight can slightly change the dimensions of the alignment so they compensate for this by (for example) adding a little negative/positive camber depending on the car.
Oh and yeah what ack said..just because they put in springs does not mean they owe you an alignment

I'm not going to argue that..they definitely should have least reccomended an alignment for after the springs have settled. But I was just trying to make a point that an alignment isn't necessary a requirement but should come highly reccomended.
this dealership does the alignments with the springs. the manager said they never ship a car with lowering springs without an alignment. and the specs were 1.0 and 1.1 degrees out. enough to bald the inside of the tire.
I'm assuming that's negative camber? So this place is saying they don't ship a car without an alignment after lowering it yet they can't adjust the camber on yours for some particular reason?
