Default B&G Suspension Springs!

I just recieved my B&G Suspension springs! They are said to have a 1.75" drop on the celica, and the guy at B&G told me it was a 2.25" drop on the tC. My question is, with 19" x 8.5" wheels (225/35/ZR19 size tires), will i rub? I will also have only 1.5" clearance when i go over speed bumps in my neighborhood which scares me. Should i be worried about lowering it? should i get the trd struts?

when i install the springs, i will be installing the hotchkis rear camber kit as well, to help with the alignment. with both of these on, will i be able to get my car aligned right?

any input would help!

another topic bout 19's and the Tein S-tech's (~2" drop) came to the conclusion that the ride probably wouldnt be that nice since clearance would be a big issue.

with 19's all of you might rub a lot or a little depending on how much BOUNCE you get and how much you turn ur wheel

i know anytying 8.5 will rub a little if you turn ur wheel all the way (i think)

Keep your wheels small... meaning, no big ___ Viper wannabe rims. So no 8.5s in the front for you. Just don't do it. I'd wait until a good set of shocks comes out. The TRD ones are not even made for a drop so drastic. Remember, the TRD springs are a 1.2" drop or whatever... so the shocks were made for that height. Even more, they were made for springs with slightly stiffer than stock spring rate. You need a set of shocks like the Konis. If only the Konis handled a bigger drop than 1.5"

i have 19x8.5 all around. and i know i will need Aftermarket shocks. but what i am asking is if i will rub? if not, i will lower it on the stock shocks, and eventully get true coliovers (when b&g releases theirs).

What is the offset of your wheels? That will have a lot to do with your clearance issues. Also do not waiste your money on the TRD Struts as they are not made for such an extreme drop, they will probably go bad just as quickly as the stock ones. I think there might be some rubbing with 8.5 wide and such a drop, specially when steering. Again your offset will make or break the deal!!

Just so you have an idea, my car is dropped with the Hotchkis springs and that is just under two inches. I am running 19x8 with 35mm offset, tire size 225/35/19. I do not have any problems with this setup, steering lock to lock is perfect. No rubbing in the rear at all. In the front when going at high speed(around 80mph)sometimes if there is a dip on the road i will hear some rubbing. I atribute this to the factory struts being too soft for the drop and the speed. This has only happened a few times and is not a mayor concern as roads around here are very good for a change, but will change my strut as soon as something nice is available. Check it out!

looks good. tires are 225/35zr19 so i think i would rub... plus i have major speed bumps in my neighrbood. i think im just gonna wait for the b&g coilovers to come out... which might be a few more months. im too worried aobut rubbing, and i oly want about a 1.25" drop. so i got free springs... but not gonna use em... oh well
