Default Brake grinding noise HELP

when I'm driving all I hear is like the rotors rubbing then when I brake it sounds like a loud scrubbing metal grinding noise. It started 2 days ago , to be more specific , it's only on the driver rear wheel. As you can see the rotors are grinding from the picture and its getting all on my wheels. But help me out so I can get this fix ASAP.

Their disc brakes so I'd pull the wheel and remove the brake pads etc to see what's going on. It's pretty easy since their disc

You need new pads, and well now rotors probably.

judging by the picture, your brake pads are gone and its metal on metal, i'm sure it should be happening to the other side if not very close to getting the same result. so get replacement rotors and brake pads. if the brake pads wore evenly per axle, then the "e brake" light would turn on during moderate to hard acceleration, that would have indicated taht you were low on brake fluid which means brake pads are low.

It means you f'ed up hahaha. You need new rotors and pads, calipers maybe if you can't compress it.

Depending on how bad the grooves are in the rotors they maybe able to resurface them and slap on some new pads.

yep. you need new brakes. you cant turn that anymore. the rotors are ruined, and the pads are certainly gone. You should, however be able to keep the caliper, just make sure to use a big flat head and push it against the rotor and the caliper to help compress the piston... It might also be a good idea to replace the caliper, depending on how long they have been on the car.

I wouldn't use a big flat head screw driver to compress the caliper piston, you can bend the rotor this way. I use a big c-clamp and one of the old brake pads and compress it that way.
