The Dan G edition coilovers will have a more aggressive spring rate and dampening geared towards road racing.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, we may have a couple different "flavors" to accommodate different needs. We are working hard to get the bar in production ASAP. From there, we'll tackle the coilovers.

And the difference in the flavors will be spring rates and potentially changes to the internal shock valving. We're working on that.

I wish I could say for 100% certainty that I will get this (the bar), but I have multiple setups I am working with and it will depend on when it comes out. Definitely watching though!

For the spring rates, if I can pull together the setup I am thinking about, I am probably going to be shooting for a suspension frequency of around 1.5HZ or a tad bit higher. If it were a pure autox car I would be going for a much higher frequency (like up around 2hz), but I drive this car every day, at least in the non-snowy parts of the year. So depending on the rates on those coilovers they may or may not fit what I am aiming for on an autox course. If I were going to track the car more though, this would be a perfect setup I am sure

Yellow is all good :D .... but, I am not too sure why people are worried about color on a sway bar for the tC since you have to really get down and work to see it.

 

Dan, thought you ran Moton coil-overs? Motons are nice, pricey for majority of the Scion community but race derived. What came about the switch?
Progress is a great coil-over too but not the same caliber as Motons.

 

i think they started off with progress coilovers and then they acquired those motons. i liked the motons, but like many others here, they are well out of my budget

Yes, we are on Motons, but we did the initial development on the car with the Progress shocks. Our Motons are great, but as you say, out of the price range for the majority of the Scion guys. On an individual basis, if price wasn't an object, people can PM me about acquiring the Moton shocks.

Our version of the Progress shocks will be a great option for the majority of the community. We ran a whole season on the shocks with our modifications, and found them to be very, very good.
