Default Looking for some advice on rims, tires, and springs

I've been looking around for a while now and found a few tires and rims that have caught my eye, but nothing that makes me out the money out there . I'm also debating between 18's or 19's. I want to go 19's but am worried about rubbing when i drop it. Along with the tires and rims what would be the best spring for slightly better performance, and a better look. I don't want to go too low, I was thinking TRD's. I believe 19's should fit with the TRD's. Also what would be the best tire, something that will give me good cornering. And last but not least I have a FM 06 tC and was thinking about going gunmetal or black rims instead of polished or chrome, cause I already got the windows tinted and like the dark look. Any advice is greatly appreciated
thanks

What do you want to hear that hasn't been posted in every other thread in this section? If you are worried about 19's rubbing go to the tire forum and look around. See what people are running.

There are probably about a thousand threads just like this.

If you're looking at 19s, you care about looks much more than performance. If you wanted performance, you'd be looking for something in 17x8 or 17x8.5 and running some 245s. You won't get any wider than stock (215) on a 19. You're just replacing rubber with metal, and losing compliance in the process.

Shouldn't this be in the tire section?

If you get 19's, look for a set that isn't wider than 7.5", 8"+ might rub and need to be rolled. Tire sizes all depend on the width of the rim you go with. I have 18x8's, and have 225x40x18's, and if I lower it more and the tires still look really big, I might get 215x35x18's and stretch the tires a little... I won't know until I lower it more though.

Don't get TRD's. I have TRD's on 18's and am not happy with the front fender-to-tire gap... it's bigger than the rear gap and looks a little funny from far away. I suggest Tein H-Tech's or Hotchkis sport springs... it keeps the fender gaps more even. H-Techs= 1.9f/1.5r, Hotchkis 1.9f/1.7r. The H-Tech's is much closer to the TRD drop, but with a balanced front. Believe me, when you put bigger rims, it changes the height. Your car will sit a little higher from the ground, but the fender gaps decrease a little.

You'll notice it with TRD's and will want to even it out sooner or later, so you might as well start it right.
