Default Need Help: Mystery knocking sound

Alright well I have this strange knocking sound coming from my drivers side front tire. It sounds like something is loose, like one/some of the lug nuts aren't tight enough.(I know what that sounds like because I have forgotten to do that before.) I rechecked all the lugs and also the 2 lower strut bolts and everything is on there tight. Not only is there that sound but also, the camber on that tire is off as well. I had set the camber on both front tires to the same negative camber using the camber plates on the FF2 coilovers, yet the drivers side one seems to have zeroed out. Do you guys have any ideas as to what the problem could be?

sounds like your upper mouth might be loose. does it do it over bumps? when you bounce the car?

It feels like the tire is loose and I can feel/hear it while slowing and some while accelerating. Once I'm up to speed though I only really feel it if I focus on that. Can the brake disc be moved a little when the tire is taken off, because mine wiggles back and forth a bit, but I checked and the passenger side does the same and doesn't sound like the drivers side.

if the wheel is tight then the rotor is tight. if the rotor moves then you have problems, big problems.

when the wheel is removed, yes the rotor can move slightly, it's a floating design. You should check the mounting bracket that the brake pads sit into and the caliper mounts to. there are two 17mm bolts on the backside, make sure those are tight.

with the front end jacked up and sitting on jack stands, pull on the bottom of the tire from the inner sidewall and pull out. then push in and repeat. See if there is any movement to that. could be a loose balljoint. that too can be tightened down. unless the balljoint is faulty. Do you feel slop in your steering?

check those things for now and we'll keep brainstorming

Alright well took my car over to Jason at nightwerks(Great guy btw.) and he told me that the sound was coming from the top bolt of the coilover. Guess when I took it to get looked at they didn't put it back together right. I'm going to try and take a look at that tonight, but I will update when I have time to work on the car and let you guys know if that was the problem.
