We brought home this little coupe, and its really fun to drive. We unfortunately have a problem.
Need help with this: brakes are soft, ling pressing to the floor. Brakes are good, had master cylinder replaced. Now what?

I am a veteran of the US Army, saw that other post, and my Son Xander is the overzealous teen in the coupe. It is tuned with Injen CAI and probably has other things I will learn about!

If the brakes are soft thats usually a sign air is in the lines. Try bleeding them and/or flushing the brake fluid if its older than 3 years. There are lots of good DIY's out there for how to do this and most dont involve more than a few tools, a length of hose, fresh fluid and about 30-45 min of yours and your sons time.

we had everything checked,bled, and the master Cylinder replaced, not in that order either. I expected it to be tighter.

 

Ceramic pads or semi-metallic?

Ceramic pads feel a little softer than semi-metallic but they're fine for non-spirited drivers. If your son is a spirited driver, he might like semi metallic pads better than ceramic. Semi metallic pads are rougher on rotors but might give more peace of mind. I don't know whether semi-metallic will improve your stopping distance.

thinking new Lines, to rule out any oddball pressure issues?

The brake calipers may be worn out and leaking. Might be time for replacements.
