Do any of you have problems with your hotchkis front sway and spipe? I just added the cc spipe and it is rattling / vibrating on something like crazy - sounds very bad!!
Could it be the sway bar? I'm trying to narrow things down, thanks!

Also has the antifouler mod on it, could the sensor be hitting something? I dont even have an a/m header so the antifouler is coming off asap.

ps
I know I have a similar post in drivetrain & power, buts that geared more towards the rasp / leak problem, hence this thread!

edit: s pipe thru everything else off track so the adjustments were made and theres no more rattle. swaybar isnt even close so no problem there, which is what i thought anyway adjustments also allowed everything to fit right so no more leaks either!

why would the bar have something to do with the rattling from the S pipe? is the s pipe hitting the bar? never heard of a problem with hotchkis front sway bar and spipe.

I'm not sure! Just trying to narrow this down and I assume that the cc spipe is designed to fit the factory parts and not nesecarily other aftermarket parts, know what I mean?

It might be hitting the cradle. When I installed my s-pipe I heard the same thing so I got under the car and noticed that exhaust was sagging low enought that when the engine would vibrate hard it would knock against the cardle right by the O2 sensor on the s-pipe. Easy fix, I just reinstalled the s-pipe pushing it up as close to the body so it won't sag anymore. Now there's no more knocking. See if that works.

I hope its that easy, I feel like selling the pipe now b/c its driving me crazy! I think there is an exhaust leak as well. My setup sounded soo good before and now this spipe has changed everything.

Yeah that's the only catch about freeing up the exhuast flow. They get louder. I put a longer resonator on my exhaust to tone it down a bit. Sounds good now.

yeah your right, but i'm not really too concerned with "loud," its the rasp (i think from a leak) that i have now.

do you have an antifouler on your spipe? i have one, but i dont need it b/c i dont have a header. i was thinking of getting rid of that to help with clearances.

Yeah I had to put one on when I installed my DC header. But the anti-fouler wasn't an issue with clearance. I was just trying to give you an idea were the s-pipe was hitting. It's on the bottom side of the s-pipe between the cradle and body of the car, befor the swaybar.

But you should take the anti-fouler off anyway if you don't have an affermarket header. Seems like it would do more harm than good without the header, unless your just waiting on one?

nope, not waiting on a header. bought the spipe used and it already had the antifouler on. i just remember reading somewhere about the sensor hitting with the antifouler and since i'm having issues i thought that might be it.

Oh okay.
I guess the only way to find out for sure is to get under the car and check it out. It could possibly be the anti-fouler. I have a custom made s-pipe and I forgot there are alot of aftermarket s-pipe on the marker and not all like mine.
Keep us posted to see if maybe it is the sway bar.
