Default Springs settling.. does your weight affect the speed ?

I got my hotchkis installed 2 weeks ago and just recently i decided to measure my gaps and my fronts are fine but my passenger rear is 1/2 inch bigger than the drivers rear.

Havent had anyone sit in my car since the install and i do weigh 210lbs so i'm not sure if it needs more time.

THe guy who installed mine has done 10+ scions so i doubt it's a mechanical error.

This usually happens to aftermarket springs when they are settling because of the uneven weight distribution when you are in the car. Either put some weight in the trunk on the right side or carry some friends around and that gap will equalize in no time.

the front weight will make the front drivers side settle the fastest. My front did that as well. I weigh 215-220 and it took longer for the rest of the springs to settle in. I have had them on for a while now and they all have the same look. You should be fine.

thanks, I was hoping it wouldn't be a permanent result. Maybe I will throw some weight on the right side then...

do you remember how long it took for the passenger side to match your drivers side height ?

When I first installed mine, this was the issue I was worried about. I weigh around 145- 150 lbs. and using it everyday will eventually affect weight distributiion. I put a dumb bell set that weighs around 50 lbs underneath the passenger seat and moved my sub to the rear passenger's side. I think it took about 1 1/2 months for it to even out. They have 1/16" and 3/16" differences for the front and the back respectively.

i put these stone marbles(50lbs~) in the trunk on the passenger side and i still see 1/2inch difference.

The thing is.. even if it evens out with the added weight.. it's going to be different when you take out the weights.
