I am guessing it is a shady dealership like Spitzer or something, but PM me the dealership name.

TRD has made a clutch for a while now...more than a year.

Good luck with it.

Amanda, is that sway bar still tight and not rattling anymore?
Well I got more enlightened on Wednesday evening from the dealer after I have a conversation with the parts guy. The sales manager was not giving me a convincing story saying that the parts were probably sold to someone else before the car arrived and they couldn't put them on the car without them all being available (I don't know why a clutch needs springs to be installed). He claimed the parts were there and once the springs came in they could continue with the work they needed to do on the car. I was pretty skeptical that the parts were there so I asked to pick up the parts and then have them in the trunk when I brought the car back for service. Well this idea encountered alot of resistance from the sales manager and essentially told me I couldn't do that because of the issues relating to their workorder policies and releasing parts to people that were already on service workorders. So not beleiving him I went to the parts department and asked for the parts guy to bring out all the parts. He was very happy to do so and also informed me that all the parts were in fact in. After hunting around for about 20 minutes he came back with just the struts and clutch, both boxes having my name on the shipment stickers. He then called the parts manager and found out that the original order for the parts was received incorrectly with someone marking all items received into the dealership, even though the springs did not arrive. I can beleive this and understand why they were waiting to do the work on the car, but this does not mean they sold the parts to someone else or already had the parts in the car like they told me.

Anyways, I'll see what happens when I finally bring the car in.

PghtC I'll PM you the dealer...

I ordered a new Scion tC from the dealership and customized it with the TRD Lowering Springs and Strut package. After looking at several tC's at my work, around town and even at the dealership, I'm beginning to wonder if the dealership actually ever installed the lowering springs and struts at all. The drop does not seem noticeable at all compared to other "stock" tC's. After seeing this post:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...646918#1646918

I am pretty positive I don't have the lowering springs due to the fact that 4 of my fingers fit in between the tire and the fender lip. Can anyone give me some more information as to what to look for to identify that I have the TRD Springs and Struts?

lol im on the page of the post to the link you posted too haha just make sure after you take your car to the dealer on install day ur springs look like this

Thanks jon! That is pretty humorous! B1uEsC1uEs's post was my scientific reference point for checking my own car, but just looking at your car with the close up wheel well shot is enough to convince me that I don't have the kit installed. BTW the car looks great jon!

PS I consider anything that requires use of your hand for measurement to be a scientific reference...

thankz for the compliment, make sure you post pics of your car when its all done and lowered im sure it will look awsome!!
