The original question was why they don't handle like other cars that are similar. The obvious answer is the roof. Its not to say that a carbon roof would be better than coilovers, but if you've upgraded the suspension and are still not happy then the roof is a place to consider making changes. I'm not competing with you for best idea. I'm just offering another one.

Yep...a change to a carbon fiber roof and suddenly that car is on rails.

My guess is the money you'd spend on a carbon fiber roof would be far better spent, with much larger results, on a few track days.

But you're welcome to go ahead and swap that roof out so you can chase M3's around the mountain.
