Default Blew out a tire - HELP

I have a 2006 Scion tC with the original stock Yokohama S32A's. Size 215/45ZR17. They have about 25k miles on them.

One of my tires blew out on the highway and I'm wondering what I should do.

Should I get a brand new Yokohama for around $250?
Should I but a used/retreaded tire?
Do I need to get the exact same tire or will any tire of the same size be okay?
Would it be worth it to just get a brand new set of 4 tires?

Got a spare on it right now so I have to get this figured out quick! Thanks in advance for your replies.

The stock ones are way overpriced. Get a whole new set. Stock tires are horrible. You can get a whole new set for around $400 depending what you get and if you can catch a good sale.
Go new. It's safer than used or retreaded.

if you have the money, get a full/new set. check your local tire shops for prices. this is one area you cannot be cheap.

if you dont get a full set at least get 2 new ones, it is not good to have a bunch of mismatching tires

check places like a firestone or discount tire as i believe alot are running a 'buy 3 get 1 free' tire and alot of them if you purchase there, they cut you a deal on mount/balance as well.

check out sears they will price match anyone... i know that they have some falkens at buy3 get1... it also depends on how much tread you have left on the other tires.. if they are at 5/32 and up but a cheap tire with the same speed rating.. if they are pretty low you might as well buy a new set

Thanks for all your help, guys!

I decided to bite the bullet and get a full set of new tires.

I'm getting General Altimax HP's at $399.52 (including shipping) from tirerack. Installation is going to be under $100, so I think for a bit under $500, it's a pretty good deal.

I did a bunch of research today and yesterday and finally decided on the General's. They seemed like the best deal for me.

Nice, i have them and so far I really like them. They do quiet well in the rain, my car hasn't had any feeling of hydroplaning like the crappy stock tires did. They also did pretty well in the snow that my area got last week.

What condition is the other three tires are in, now if you that the tread is pretty much warn on the other 3, I'll say to you purchase 4 new tires and advise to not buy the Yoko's again in fact stay way clear of those tires, cause OEM tires suck! Listen we all have scion TC's, my TC is a 07 Silver Classic manual shift, I have the CONTINENTIAL CONTIEXTREMECONTACT DWS in 215/45 17 an they are amazing, aggressive tires, tread wear is 540 for an all-season tire that offer's phenomanol grip in the dry, rain; i mean heavy down pour my friend and not to mention the extremely well snow traction. But if your tires are in good shape, just replace it with the same tire new of course! Please excuse the typo's through out this post! One more thing, you gotta check www.tirerack.com for the reveiws of this tire, SUPERIOR RATINGS!!
