I've fishtailed out a couple times with FWD cars. My old '91 Ford Taurus and '95 VW Jetta... Both times I had bald tires on the rears. Once was a wet road that I took too fast. The 2nd time was on snow... I just have to say - thank god the good tires were on the rears because if the front lost traction and spun out.. i would have had 2 accidents.
