If there's anything good about these tires, it's that they kept me on edge and alert while driving in the rain. I've since replaced them with Falken GR Beta FK-451s and they handle excellent in the rain. Z-rated, AA traction rating... much better than the Potenzas and also much cheaper.
do you have a picture?
Don't have a picture of them on MY car... but here's a pic of the same tires on an NSX:

well, i don't think the title of the thread should be changed....maybe that's because i authored it. but, since hearing the concern of my fellow drivers i too have come to the conclusion that maybe, just maybe these tires do suck. i don't know.....i haven't had any bad experiences but i know they are not worth the price. i just wanted this thread to proclaim --- "They are not REALLY that bad!!"

now i have a s/c - first gear - going slightly uphill at a stopsign - its very easy to start to slip the clutch out and the tires try to grab ... come on.

But I got a deal from a local tire place. $89/tire installed.

Default these tires suck

with 30k on my tires and tread doing very well i hydroplaned and ended up in a ditch. do not buy these tires! they are incredibly unsafe on a tc. i have hydroplaned before without incident, but this latest time it just happened out of the blue. also i have had traction problems on loose gravel. fortunately i steered myself out of that. but when you're going on the freeway and you hydroplane you are just sometimes helpless and there is nothing you can do to save yourself on these tires.

This year im giong to get new tires for my car. Ive had my current ones on for a few years and its time for an upgrade ...both safety and performace in mind. I forgot how much tread I had on my tires ...33k miles later.

Whats everybody saying is the #1 tire performance/cost/style wise? Any changes from last year when this post started?

So, my tC came with Bridgestone Turanza EL400's which are apparently alot better. Mine is an '07 so maybe they switched to the Turanza for 07? They definently dont seem as bad as the potenzas from what everyone is saying, but then again with only 800 miles on my car i havent really pushed it much.

Heres a head to head comparison from tire rack for those of you that want to see it:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...speed_rating=Y
So a little less tread life and worse deep snow traction for the Turanza, good thing here in San Diego i wont have to worry about snow till uhh never

And for the Falkens, i put a set of those on my last car (98 Accord) and man were they awesome and cheap, compared to the crappy michelins that it came with! But the only downside about them is the directional tread pattern that made it so that you couldnt rotate the tires properly.

^ i dunno but i cant wait to get mine off - I think in a few months when the weather gets better they are gone. Im tired of spinning through first and second ....if i have to pick up speed fast .... im not able to ....its a dangerous problem.

I second that. AWESEOME tires. You can also check them out at www.1010tires.com

They saved my butt in the nasty ice storm we had out in the northeast last week. It was a real mess and I didn't get stuck once - i'm very impressed - and they are not even known as 'winter' tires.

Toyo proxes 4 FTW!!!
