Default Tire decision...opinions

OK so I am looking for new tires. I will more than likely use these for street and track(autox and TA) I am on a semi tight bugdet as there are other thing I want to buy.... so far Ive got these 2 cant decide between, thorw in other IF they are in a similar price range..

First is the HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO; the reviews are overall good and they seem better than the RT615 for everyday driving and most likly will last longer

Second is the FALKEN RT-615 they seem alot better for grip but I hear they wear quick.

Another note is the Hankooks come in the size I want 245/40/17 while the falkens would be 235/40/17.......

thought?

rt615 will be pretty expensive to be used on the streets.. hankook should do for you. but if you can spend a lil bit more, dunlop direzza z1 very good autx tires and not so bad for daily use. tirerack i think had the best deals on those so far..

235 will be a safer size not much worries of rubbing, but your not going for a 45 aspect ratio on your 17s?

Forgot to mention I have 5zigen fn01rc 17x8 +35

I like the dunlops but Im not gonna dish out the extra bread..... $400-$500 shipped would be my spot.

and for aspect ratio I just dont want a bigger sidewall to avoid rubbing and my curent tire is close to my filter guard.

you should be able to do 245 on 40 aspect ratio, might need to do some neg camber and roll some fenders esp coz you autox

fenders are already rolled and I dont have my splash guard.... Im leaning towards the hankooks but want outside opinions.
