Default Fog Light Wiring Help..

Recently installed an OEM fog light kit on my 2012 Scion tC and I've having some trouble piggybacking the red illumination wire in the interior fuse box. I read somewhere that you can tap into the parking light fuse but when I do that, headlights and fog light works, but taillights won't come on - not sure why?
Looking for a solution so all lights work together as they should. I'd like the fog lights to automatically turn on/off when the parking lights are activated or turned off. The switch could obviously override that while the car is running so I could turn them off if I didn't want to use them, but when the key is out of the ignition I want to make sure they'd be shut down also.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Is there another fuse I could piggyback on for this, or is it best to tap into another wire directly? And if so, which one and where do I find it?

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Install instructions for the OEM kit: http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/...-21140inst.pdf

When I installed mine, I went aftermarket and wired the relay to be independent, so any time the car is on the fogs can be on, separate from any other lighting. I believe the above instructions allow for leaving the switch in the on position and coming on any time the headlights or parking lights do.

Maybe my light are aftermarket, they were given to me in a box when we bought the car so I'm not positive, but the instructions above don't look familiar at all. I basically installed the 2 lights - relay and fuse attached and remain under the hood. There's a yellow wire that I ran through the firewall and connect to the yellow wire in the switch harness. Switch harness also has a black ground which is placed beneath the kick panel, and a red illumination wire which I tried piggybacking to my parking light fuse in the box beneath my dash. I never had to remove my radio or anything. Does that make any sense?

OEM fogs plug into harnesses that are already in the engine bay. You likely got Winjet or another aftermarket application. If the switch lights up green, its probably Winjet.

It actually lights up orange, same color as the other dash items. I'm just not sure as to the best place to place that red wire that's coming from the switch because it won't play nicely with the parking light/tail light fuse. A watched a video on YouTube and the guy joined that wire with a blue wire running beneath the kick panel. I also ready something about joining it with the cigarette lighter wire? I just want everything to work as it should and I'm pretty new with the wiring stuff. Thanks for you help!

Mine's attached to the cig lighter circuit so I can run them independently. The pdf I linked should work for you to access the illumination wire going to the radio so it knows when to turn on the fogs.
