The HID lows stay on while the highs are on just like they do with the stock halogen lows. Why is it a pain that they stay on? Better visibility is a good thing right?

They stay on, when I flip my high beams on, you can see the HID, and them the yellow from the OEM high beam. And it looks weird cause they don't match anymore lol

Edit: Steve you beat me to it D:<

It was just one of those annoying things from previous cars, I always thought the high beams should click off the lows, but ah well... as long as it's normal and will pass inspection.

You can rig the fog lights up to where they stay on when the highs are on, but that would mean you have Fogs+Lows+Highs on. That's 6 lights.

Legally, you can only have 4 driving lights on while on public roads. A buddy of mine got pulled over for having 6 lights on, since he had 2 aftermarket lighting kits going along with his headlights. I believe the cop just let him go, however.

I hate it when people flash me even though I have my fogs on. 98% of the time, fogs on = low beams on. I've never seen a vehicle whose fogs stay on along with their highs, unless they are aftermarket fogs with the wiring rigged up.

i put 8k hids from meng motorsports on mine. I put the driver side ballast next to the air filter box and used double sided tape i picked up from home depot and that thing is stuck on there nice and good. I also put the passenger side ballast on the box with the pink fluids (antifeeze).

Now that's a perfect place for the ballasts! Any problems to date? If not, this is where I am putting them too. Thanks...

Donsun! That's a really good idea you had with sliding it down more and using the zip-tie, very cool! (just saw it)
