Default 15 tC Cold Air Intake issue..

I recently changed the filter on my CAI and within 75 miles threw a B1S1 too rich and a MAF Code.
Toyota tech told me go back to factory air box and get a new MAF. He said the filter oils coated the MAF and I'm at 39% more air intake.

What options are out there for CAI filters or setups so I don't have to go back and won't cause this issue. Or should I?

Good dry flow air filters like AEM and Injen would work as they are not oiled. Oiled air filters are great, but if they are oiled too much, it can be sucked into your intake and destroy your MAF. I personally just use the factory airbox as I don't think a CAI does much, but if you like having a CAI, then go ahead and use it.

Thanks! I bought the car with the intake so just kept it. Changed the filter with a Spectre and threw the codes. Can't really find the factory set up for the 15 tC everything i find is CAI

IMHO, IF you want to get rid of your 15 tC Cold Air Intake issue:

Ditch the Spectre Filter or Spectre CAI. They are nothing but a cheap Chinese eBay knockoff. They will give you nothing but, problems and headaches. As you are beginning to find out.

Then, either get a OEM Factory Air Box: Air Intake for 2015 Scion tC

Or get a TRD CAI: Buyers Guide: Gen2 tC Intakes or Another Quality Intake that works.

+1 to what Luv said, Spectre is crap. Personally I like Injen (no engine issues with mine), but HPS also makes a nice kit for the tC. If you simply changed your filter without cleaning your MAF sensor it's likely the issue wouldn't be fixed, will need to clean that as well if it hasn't been damaged by the oil buildup.

Cold air is relief of engine compartment heat. Cold air is still ambient air, so using the same diameter “cold air” tube to throttle actuator doesn’t allow more air, dense, for more usable intake BUT..using a larger diameter tube makes more allowed air in. Now putting a larger tube down away from the engine is a notice, but don’t be alarmed that ECM will trip a lean after you come off hard or freeway driving..ie. idle position percent and the MAF is sensing more air at idle.
