Default does any one have a nst pulley installed?

asking around before i buy the pulley i was one of the first with the weapon r header and had a boat load of issues and too about a few weeks and few dealer visits to figure out the issue. fixed the header issues a while ago and now looking to go to my next mod. i have intake header and exhaust. pulley would be next imo. what else am i missing besides a turbo kit. I'm skeptical about the intake manifold it was just released. i am preparing my car for a turbo so I'm going to start getting all the bolt ons that'll make me fast now and way faster with turbo/sc

I and several members here have it installed with no issues. Did you check here?

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=211616 the pulley thread will tell you everything you need to know. Just to answer your question about performance bolt-ons though, you'll want to change your motor mount. I personally have and highly recommend the GGP mount with the stiffer bushings....made a world of difference. Frees up existing hp just like the pulley.

The NST pulleys are worth the money IMO.
This is my N/A setup and Im very happy with the performance/sound/feel of the car, at least until I go forced induction:

Injen CAI
DC Headers
Nvidia S-pipe/TRD exhaust
NST pulleys (all 3)
Descendant Intake Manifold
Unichip (tuned to work with other mods)
RS*R RanUp oil additive

With a port-and-polish/titanium valves up next, Im hoping to hit 200hp, maybe 185 to the wheels, when I do, I'll get a dyno run to prove it so that nobody feels the need to call bs lol

Yeah dealers aren't going to trip over simple bolt ons. And your engine warranty may be gone with boost, but you will still have your bumper to bumper

Alternator and water pump pulleys are also available for the tC1. None are available for the tC2 NST said something along the lines of the design was too difficult to incorporate, or there would not be gains large enough to warrant developing them.

Lol yeah sorry, I was talking about the alt and wp pulleys for the TC1, I was still half asleep, didnt realize you guys were talking about the TC2, I just randomly clicked on this thread bcuz it was one of the new ones on the homepage......thats interesting that they only make the crank pulley for the TC2 tho, you would think they would be able to make the other two.

Just to avoid confusion, the GGP motor mount doesn't add or free up any HP or TQ. All it does it Increase Throttle Response by stiffening the connecting between the motor and the frame, thus the engine has to move less to react to throttle changes.

But from what I've read.. the pulley is worth the money. +8.5 HP and TQ, and gives you a little bit better gas mileage. I'm planning on ordering mine later today.

One thing you should look up.. there's a ongoing debate in the automotive world about LITE pulleys leading to premature engine failure. My engineering experience tells me that this used to be true, but is no longer relevant because now all engines are internally balanced. But do some research.

when the drive train twists and shakes, "there is a loss in rotational energy that would otherwise be delivered to the... (in our case front) rear wheels." OEM Rubber motor mounts "...provide isolation from engine vibrations, but stretches under acceleration. This wastes horsepower and eventually causes the mount to rip and fail..." Simplest explanation I could find. http://www.mitymounts.com/howtheywork.htm
