I've always been told that the rev limiter was built in to the computer. It won't be easy to remove it.

That being said why would you want to remove it? It's there to protect your engine.

I somewhere heard that the 2011 scion Tc in a standard tranny didn't have a governor which I thought was something that didn't let you go past a certain speed. I may be wrong though...

my understanding is that the limiter is in the computer which to remove it you have to chip and program the car to remove it
