Default Governor?

ANy one know how to bypass the governor so that it'll go faster then 125mph with out setting off the check engine light? Is there a part or a chip or an upgraded ecu or what?

put your car into a cargo plane and have it dropped at 35k feet. it'll surpass 127mph. add a parachute for multiple attempts.

in all seriousness, there is no intelligent reason for trying to remove the speed limiter.

You won't see better times on a road course or a drag strip. You'll end up showing off on the freeway and either getting killed or arrested.

You might be able to with the E-manage Ultimate or the Uni-Chip, but the gearing in the transmission tops out around 135MPH for the manual. You run the risk of damaging your engine and or transmission without a taller final drive ratio.

I remember cruising at 140+ on the bahn- it wasn't ludicrous. So if you took the tC to Germany, you have a legitimate reason. Maybe there are others...

If I had political significance or someone put a hit out on me, I would have a legitimate reason to exceed the govenor. I'm sure there are others.
