it's called, the power chamber effect, and it's has proven effective on some systems.. it's is essentially a ridiculousy over sized intake piping that bulges in one area then smoothly returns to throttle body size.. something about ramming the air.. it looks awesome. password jdm AKA PWJDM made one for the tc1, not as nice looking as my civics power chamber intake, but definitely looks good

if you haven't guessed, whale *****, is just a nickname for the power chamber intake because it looks like...., well a whale's *****..

The only thing I personally do not like about the Injen CAI is the placement of the MAF sensor. It is in the same location as the factory unit, but you're adding extra bends in the system which circulates the air differently through the MAF thus reading different. AEM's intake places the MAF down low to prevent this and the ETI chip corrects the readings to be correct. I have an AEM and have no complaints about it. Install was easy, functions well, overall good buy.

I don't disagree. Any analog intake will have some method to change airflow to a MAF.

Air flow to the MAF plays a big part in performance. But we're dealing with a car that is not for performance, all we really get is a cool sound and a very minimal improvement in the torque curve. As long as there is no CEL, you should be good to go.

Go TRD. A sealed box under the hood is always better than the filter out front. Think of it like a fail safe. Your lungs aren't in your mouth for a reason
