I just ordered the K&N... I actually ordered the AEM back in Feb but it's still in backorder (I'm in Canada). So I'll take the K&N as I've always had Typhoons before.

For anyone to think that cold air is the only way to gain performance, especially someone who supposedly has been tuning cars for over 30 years, he must have no understanding on how car works. It basically goes back to the age old debate of which intake is better (SRI or CAI), and both sides have solid argument. On my last car I had both a CAI and SRI (I used the SRI mostly in winter though). The only difference is at idle because the CAI can get the cooler air. But once the car is in motion, both intake will be getting basically the same air temp. This is based on my on-board Scangauge2 reading. A SRI has less restriction though and can in theory grab air easier.

But seriously, for the roughly 6hp gained, the difference is barely noticeable. You get an intake for the sound. And if at 58 and retired you can't afford to pay for an intake, you should maybe go back to work.

I'll take a picture of the intake today when I get the car back. It has like a 5" intake on it. The end of it is carbon fiber

Exactly, Roge!! I get paid monday and am going to purchase one as well! I'm super excited.

KrAzY17, eventually i plan on buying an AEM dry flow filter to replace the oiled filter that comes with the K&N. I think this one will fit: http://www.aemintakes.com/search/pro...Prod=21-209EDK

Do you think maybe you can take these dimensions and make a quick estimation on if it will fit? Cant wait to see pics of yours!!

Can you tell a difference with the intake? Give us a quick reviiew if you don't mind. I wish it was composite instead of al. tubing, my only gripe with it. It looks great though.

Did anyone else notice the stock snorkel? LOL.

Also, what the diameter of the tube?

Finally, I like the way it looks. Idk, I just do. But for the same price I think AEM is callin my name....
