Default Stroked 2AR-FE

So I was just screwing around googling some stuff and stumbled on this. Seems the 1AR-FE crank matches up with the 2AR-FE Block. Only thing need it Custom Rods. This would be awesome if someone came out with some rods for us to have this done. 2.7L 2AR-FE. Drool.

Or just steal a Venza engine or /crank + rods they are 2.7 liter AR engines same as the Highlanders and 4 cylinder Sienna's.
Still they don't make much more power or torque. About 10 or 12 more torque and that's it. Plus more rotating mass, dats bad :p

There's gotta be some reasoning behind it. Maybe no aftermarket pistons, bearings, turbos, etc.?

Probably something to do with how much power the block can handle. If you were to do full high comp pistons and lightwheight rod plus headers and a good port job, you could make a nice n/a build, but would cost more than a turbo kit probably, and more effort. The engine is also not very old and the only car with the 2ar-fe that people would likely mod is the tC. So probably not a lot of aftermarket companies are going to jump on this.

It's a dam shame the FR-S didn't get the same motor. Barely makes anymore power anyways. It'd mean great things for us tC guys.

I really like the idea of rods too. I would jump on them depending on the gains they may yield for the price.

EDIT: And I am sure Brian Crower would be interested if the demand were there.
