Super Tech Oil Filter question..
This is the first thing I've found about this little car that irks me. Bought a Super Tech Oil Filter for my 2013 tC and it came with an extra small O-Ring and a plastic valve. From the instructions it looks like your suppose to install the plastic valve under the removal bolt.
My gray removal hex head does not seem to want to unscrew from the black plastic housing. Should I disregard it? Also with O.E. oil filter my car always seems to have a 1-2 second dry start sound, since I bought it a year ago, only has 69,000 miles.

This video might help:
You don't have to use the plastic valve, it just makes removing the oil filter canister process less messy.
To help with the dry start you can try soaking the filter media in oil or pouring a little bit of oil in the canister before you put it back on.
I'm glad that I don't have a canister oil filter. They probably went to canister oil filters because there cheaper to make.

Appeciate that Jakeauto Should have seen that per the instructions, but am so used to extra parts going inside the filter housing. My short gray bolt unscrewed the whole housing so that through me off as well.
