Default Switching Octane levels, whats the process?

I did a little search but got nothing. I want to try 93 octane for a month while I have nice cold weather meaning low intake temps.
If I dont get a good response I'm going to do it anyway. I'm going to run my fuel all the way down, fill up with 93 octane, and reset the ECU.
I didn't know if there was a different way, I dont want to confuse the computer.

Thanks.

Why are you doing this? You will see 0 benefit. If you want to waste $0.40/gallon I can send you my paypal address.

But seriously, your motor is not designed for anything but 87.

Just put it in there it shouldn't hurt anything lol I've ran 93 through my 07 tc with octane booster added and it just runs better long as your not running race gas all forms of gas are safe as far as I know long as its got a minimum octane of 87

How about we split that deal 50/50?

Face palm

Please check your manual. You should only be putting 87 in your car unless you are part of the F/I crowd. You will see ZERO gains.

you CAN run it, it will do nothing. it wont clean your engine or make it run better, if you think that then it is just the placebo effect. octane rating does not equal more power. it just means the fuel's resistance to detonation.
