Default TRD quickshifter & clunk noise

Is anyone else with a TRD quickshifter having a loud clunking noise when going into second gear? Getting very annoying...
The car had no noise prior to installing the quickshifter. May have to talk to scion or the dealer about this.

Yes I had it too. What your problem could be(it was mine) is that you didnt properly secure the bolt on the second part of the transmission end. That clunking noise is the transmission cables actually moving around. I bet the shifter doesn't feel tight at all to right?

Yeah I hear it now. At first I thought it was neutral to first, but it's the same as yours from 1st to 2nd. I will recheck the extender and the QS itself this weekend to see if it's on tight. I know it was when I installed it.

Mine made a 1st to 2nd clunk when I first got the quickshifter installed. But after a day or two it went away.

I notice it when you start really slow is when I hear the clunk noise, but when you accelerate fast (from 1st - 2nd) I don't hear it at all.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I thought I didn't lubricate the posts enough or something. I know for sure I had everything tightened good. The clunk annoys me too, but I think I've gotten used to it. I noticed a huge difference in tightness between the TRDSS and stock. It almost feels like the throw was reduced by more than 30%.

Great mod for the price plus time to install. So glad I didn't have to take apart the interior like the original tc. Well done TRD.
