Hi everyone,
So, a couple of days ago i noticed a weird sound when accelerating. It doesn't sound when the car is idle or when i turn (by this i mean that theres no weird noise coming from the steering wheel) but every time i accelerate, the sound is always there.

I don't know if this is how all the scions sound and i guess i never noticed before because i always have my radio on. most of the time pretty loud. lol.

It sounds similar to a remote control car or small electric motor, and the pitch raises up when the engine speeds up.

The car has about 8k miles, the only mod is a short ram intake, Automatic.

what could it be?

 

Its a new car, take to dealer, when in doubt, get it checked out.
