Ya, dealers could care less about us, because they make their money off selling the cars, not servicing them. Once the car is sold we're just another person in the world to them, thankfully Scion Corp actually gives a crap and does the best they can to help us out...unfortunately they can only do so much so fast :/

Mine only took a few days so I think they forgot about you. I took my car in monday and they ordered the radio then. I got a call today and they told me the new radio was in so I think they either forgot about you or they are being jerks. I would call the service manager or the top person in the dealership and _____ them the hell out.

I got my new radio in last week, it fixed the problem, but the dealer actually told me it didn't sound right.

Dealer called me today, and i have an appointment to install the new HU in about 30 minutes, i'll update when i get back

UPDATE:

Got the new HU installed, it took them about an hour and a half to put it in.

Before the update i was forced to keep the music in the "hear" mode if i wanted to use tC mode and not have rediculous rattle.

Now with the new unit i can use any mode in the tC mode and max out all the settings with no rattle except for the occasional rattle from the back when there is REALLY heavy bass and the volume is loud, but thats to be expected.

Overall im 100% satisfied

10 days, 5 corp calls to the dealer, and still no response from the dealer to me....I'm just gonna try asking Corp to call another dealer tomorrow, this is ridiculous.

Hate to burst your bubble... But there is only a $700 profit in selling a Scion, $150 of which goes to the sales person for commission... leaving only $550 in profits for the dealership...
For you to service your car at the dealership even for just the length of a regular 60 month loan is more than that... average service cost is $125(just for the regular maintenance, but if you include warranty items, and failed parts that number drastically increases), so after 5 years thats $1500 that the dealership will see... Plus, dont think that warranty claims and the Scion Service Boost(2 years of complimentary service) go unpaid... Toyota still pays the bill for you...

In all honesty, I would rather sell a car to someone who says that they will service the car with us, instead of those who say that they have thier own mechanic...

Well I was thinking more big picture, Toyota would rather not pay for your car to be serviced under warranty. Either way, whenever I've had to deal with anything being fixed under warranty, it's been ridiculously hard to get fixed, but of course when the warranty is up, they will get it fixed right away no problem...

OMFG thank you for posting this.

I know this is totally off topic about the radio, but the dealership who scratched my bumper and forced me to go through Scion (who is sending me a check for the total repair of $500+/-) ...that kinda makes me smile. I figure someone either is or was being yelled at.

You should've told them about the rattle problem, there's a fix for it according to my Scion Corp rep.

3 weeks later my dealer finally contacted me and asked me to bring my car in so they could get the part number off the HU to order a new one. For gods sake I hope they don't order another defective one lol
